Any Bugeye driver tried a conversion?

Like above. Search Nasioc.

You have to change quite a bit.

Fenders

Hood

Lights

Grill

Bumper cover

Radiator support I'm pretty sure?

I know how to do it and I found a conversion kit (took me a year to find one and took me 2mo of talking to the company in japan) to change my bueye to a hawkeye...I was just wondering if anyone from MS. Has done it yet?

We did a nose job to our Last Ditch Racing bugeye rally car after crashing it a few years back. updated to 06 nose. It was more of a project than we bargained for, tho it's def doable.

Be ready to do a fair bit of surgery to front bulkhead, the headlight mounts are obviously quite different. Prepare to snip, hack, bend, weld. bumper supports are different, and you'll have to fab some tabs to mount fasteners for inner fender liners, bumper cover, etc.

Also realize that the nose-ectomy will devalue the car considerably.

Did you have the Conversion Kit when you performed the action? Or was it all custom?

As for Devaluing the car, I could honestly care less. But thanks for the concern!?

we ordered the body parts from Subaru, the rest was all custom...typical stuff for a race car which is all custom anyway.

what are the specific parts in a JDM update kit?

I mentioned devaluation of a customized car because many owners fall into the trap of, "I spent xxx$$$ on the car, therefore it's worth xxx$$$ more when I wanna sell." If you don't care, fine...just so ya know, cuz you will take a hit come resale time.

When you do it sell me your bugeye front end. I am doing a sedan front end on my bugeye wagon. Oh and hurry up already

I have an Amdrive/Triple Caution Front end swap on my WRX Wagon.. It's a 2005 with a 2006/2007 Nose with Sedan Fenders.

LDR bugeye before (with our RS car, too)

LDR Hawkeye after

have had a number of ppl spot that we did not convert the rear end..."hey is that car a bugeye originally?"

I'm not a huge fan of the Bugeye..the eyes match those of the dodge neon, if I were to keep it..I'd have to get eyelids for them. So I'll opt for the change to the hawkeye, so much more sexy and aggressive!

..so again, what are the parts that come in a "JDM conversion kit" ??
I don't call it a "JDM Conversion kit", cause I'm not changing LHD to RHD. It's just a Facelift kit from Japan, that changes a bugeye to a hawkeye. The kit includes, Head Light Support set, Bumper Stay set, Fender Stay set and Tail Light Support set.

Have you done the math on how much this will cost in total (kit, body parts, paint, time/labor) versus just trading it in while it's still in resellable condition for a nice 06/07 with the 2.5?
