08-09 Wrx Vs Sti?

It takes some custom work (with a welder). But it can be done. Also you will have to do some work to the bumper to make it dual exhaust.

I think its a decent upgade, but dont expect much more noise out of it.

i was thinking of buying a smaller aftermarket sti exhaust and have some welding work done to it to make it fit by moveing the angle of the tips down slitley to alow it to still clear my bumper and hopfully i wont have to do much other work. whats the differance in the sti that makes it so the quadtips fit? what else do u think i will have to do nate?

You are talking about adding a 08 sti stock catback right?

I think unless you are given one for free its not worth it.

With the welding work you need to do to make it fit, and the fact that you have to trim your bumper to make the quad tip work.... you might as well buy a catback that is meant for you car.

I mean the quad tips look sick, but you will get only minimal sound, if any at all.

This is a decent mod for someone looking for some extra flow, but really wants to be quiet.

Buy something that works for you car. that's the best answer. Buy a tsudo catback off ebay. Its cleap and fits out the one exhaust port you have on the passenger side.

^Cleap you say, this must be a new word all the young kids are saying these days. Either that or a combination of clean and cheap..... i like it :-)

And are you talking about trying to make an older sti exhaust work???

Older sti exhaust all exit out the drivers side. Yours exits the passenger side.

It would take TONS of work to make it fit.

Should have bought the used SPT the was kicking around here for a while.

im just throwin ideas out there, its to much money for not enough HP and weight reduction. i realy wanted the spt but i might go with a ebay one for a while i mean there only like 200 bucks haha
