sweet!

what other neato sensors can you display on that little screen? I wonder how hard it would be to do some sort of DIY job on an older scoob.

its probably wicked complex to do that. Its getting info from the engine temp, rpms, odometer, load, speed, MAF, throttle angle, yadda yadda. It re-averages every time you reset the trip odometer. The higher end Scoobs also give instant mpg, trip, average, miles to empty, run time, temp, time of day

From Auburn to Naples

*Subaru variable valve timing, vtec now on NA SOHC since 06 or 07.

*Early shifts

*Lots of coasting, 650 rpms while doing 50mph might be semi-fooling the computer, but I've been told the engineers have taken that into account, as well as extended idles and not moving.

*Not touching the gas unless you have to.

Tomorrow I head to MA. We'll see what she really is for MPG.

If you want all sorts of sensors get a scangauge2. Really sweet little monitor

I have mine mounted on the steering column.

That's pretty sweet MPGage. I can get about that, maybe a bit less, but it is so friggin boring!!

That`s great Stuka. My best on a short trip doing what you did from Acton to Biddeford shopping plaza prob 20 miles was around 33 mpg and of course I had garvity working for me

borrowed an 08 for training.

300+ mile trip to Norwood, MA and back was 30.0 mpg.

that's stop and go accordion nastiness on Rt 128/95 combo outside B-Town. 40ish miles of stop, gun it, stop, gun it, stop, gun it, both there and back. And zoomin 70-80ish on Rt 95 thru ME and NH and back. AC on the entire trip back.

If I used this car everyday for my regular commute I'm sure I'd hit 35mpg everyday.

I remember that one, Prius vs. BMW M5.

M5 won in the gas mileage battle. The Prius was racing around the track and the M5 was following at the same pace.
