1.8 Carnage

Not sure if the photos below work... but that's the 1.8 i pulled out of my impreza. Pulled the pan last night and found all the aluminum and the rings wrapped around the crank.

And the best part is, I drove it into the garage when I pulled this motor. Yes, I just said that.

Hahaha no this is y old motor. I finally got around to tearing it apart. The one I was redlining is still kicking. Took another night of it last night

But snow tires now so not slowest drifts haha

 
Update: needs head gaskets and a radiator. Blew the top fitting off last night after the head gaskets went. Is all i can guess. Oil psi dropped a little, which I attested to it heating way up/thinning. Then was doing donuts and next thing I know I'm spinning in a cloud of steam and it almost stalled (sucking in the steam I think) and my resovior was almost filled with oil and water mix. Limped it up 95 from cabelas to my friends gf's and got water (and heat back, it was that dry) and got it back To windham after midnight. Drained the water out, wasn't all oily but a little milky. Time for some head gaskets!!!!

And by blew the fitting off I mean it cracked the plastic. Hardly any space to clamp it to to get it home.
