im just wondering a couple things for my 93 imp,

first one is, is how hard would it be to locate fog lights for my car, and would i have to change the front bumper to the obs bumper or not?

i need to look to see if i even have a connector for fog lights or anything,

second question is,

how hard is it to change a seat? my drivers seat, the left side of the butt part has been deteriorating for a while and its getting very annoying while driving.

any help or insight would be greatful

thanks.

I am guessing that you have the same bumper as I do just mine has the area cut out for the fog lights. My guess is you can cut yours out. As for finding the fog lights, that can be a pain. I had one get broken and didn't see a set for a year. Otherwise to make it easy on yourself just find a obs/rs bumper that has fogs in it already. Wiring isn't horrible. Either try to get a harness through Subaru or scavenge junkyards for one. When you pull your bumper you may find the wiring there already though. It will be a plug that is just sitting back there.

As for the seat, interior color? I may have one shortly as I just swapped in a power seat. They aren't that hard to pull unless you break the captive nut free that is in the tunnel area.

4 bolts for the seat... Easy if it doesn't break.

If your any decent at wiring I'd just hook up a simple toggle switch that way you can run the fogs as you please. Rs bumper can be bought new at the dealer for like 200 bucks before paint or check Nes/ rs25 or nasioc for a used one.

I'd start spraying the trans tunnel seat bolt with PB blaster now. There's about an 80% chance it's going to break the captive nut loose. And at that point you have to crawl under there and dick with it anyway. So crawl under there with a can instead of vice grips.

Any seats from 90-08 will bolt right in.

Older imprezas have 5 bolts for the seats. Also the seatbelt sensor wiring has a different connector.

Some people think that newer legacy seats sit higher. They don't, they just have a taller headrest.

You don't need to use all 5 bolts. The legacy actually has the 5th bolt hole. They just put a weird peg thing in it to fill the space, but it's not actually used for the seat.

The first year I've seen that is starting with the 3rd gen legacy. 2nd gen still has all 5 bolt holes in the seat.

i have the regular cloth interior...but i really dont care if the seats match or not...all that matters to me is comfyness for my butt, plus seat covers work wonders.

im probably going to start looking for rs bumpers and side skirts (if they came with any) because i like the big round fog lights, i was used to them when i had my outback.
