2.5 DOHC

The motor in my friends '97 Legacy GT went, he is looking for another 2.5 DOHC to replace it. Any one have one? We have been looking on craigslist trying to find some.

 
Swap a 2.2 into it. Done. No more DOHC problems.

That's how I fixed my 98GT

He likes the loads of power his car has with the 2.5 compared to my car with the 2.2, he'd rather not swap a 2.2 unless he has to

 
are you still looking for a 2.5? I am parting out a few 98 legacys. one has a 2.5 in it that was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago or less and the heads and intake manifold are port matched. it does use a little oil, some of it could just be the valve covers needing to be retightened. if your interested let me know I could have it pulled with in a week or whenever I get the free space in my garage.

Where abouts are you located, and how much would you like for it? I'm pretty sure my friend still needs a motor, I will ask him right now.
