so i came across this body kit on the rs25 site and i think im in love...the tracer kit that the prior owner molested onto the car is killing me now and ive got to do something diff. does anyone know anything about the 22b kit itself and what kind of front bumper is that??? any info is appreciated

Be prepared to pay extreme amounts of $$$... if it's an authentic 22b wide body kit that is...

Pretty sure that front bumper is an old school sti sport bumper, replicas are usually all over RS25.com....as for cost,an authentic 22b is almost impossible to find, the kits can vary in price,I think it's either HKS or HTS autos has the closest I've seen, and it's scary pricey! You'd be better off becoming good friends with a good body man and fab up your own. I love widebody Subies, too. This one in particular,as it has the Sport Bumper AND the Work KAI rims that I absolutely LUST after, but for around $2k a set,and living in the pothole capital of the free world,no thank ya!

just found a replica 22b on aitracing for $540...270 for each end,40mm ext.... not sure of shipping, maybe 700 total....the rs needs a little body work anyways, rear quarters...might be an option.

Not a bad price, you gonna cut the rear quarters out and go nuts? Definitely up grade your wheel bearings if you go wide,though...subies,especially older RS' tend to kill wheel bearings when you go wide with the whells.

Replica kits aren't going to fit well. The last thing you want is a widebody kit that looks tacked on.

im sure you get what you pay for but all things can be fixed.....what kind of bearings do you upgrade to??? is it just the bearing or the entire hub assembly? i think im going to find the sti bumper first and then think about the widebody, i was going to have it in the shop by this winter to fix the quarter panel rot but i may not need to if i do the widebody.....

You're still going to have to fix the rust one way or another.

You can throw makeup on top of skin cancer, but at the end of the day, the skin cancer is still eating away at your face.

Do it right or don't do it at all.

all the 22b kits are replicas. the original was real metal body panels and you basically cant buy them. plan on another $1000 (or waaay more) to have it fitted depending on how well the shop does it. 1000 would probably look like an obvious add on kit, but spend more and they'll fit the panels to the car better and blend it right in, as well as smooth/fill the high and low spots on the kit from when it came out of the mold. plus it'll take the shop for god damn ever to do it, so have another car ready. other than that it looks cool as hell.

i know itll cost some cash to do it right, from what i was reading you cut a section of the rear quarters out, like 60mm to expand the wheel well and fold it all in and weld it, what about riveting it on and leaving it exposed??? does it need to be glassed and bondo to make it look smooth or factory to look good???
