Sounds like a worth while day despite your friend not being home.

Fryeburg! that's two towns away from my house. I could have used a journey like that today. 8)

 
I do 200 per day... Bath down rt 1 to 295 to 95south over to NH on rt 33 and then return... It's sweet.. and my commute... damn.... I would rather drive the other routes...

 
That's a great route. I have hit all those roads in the last couple of years. There is (used to be?) a great little store and bakery at the southern end of 113 where it turns from summer only to all year road. Good stuff

 
Having grown up in the good ol Northern Maine.. I've never been able to see these roads:-( Someone is going to have to take me out there so I can have a nice twisty drive in the REX.
