This year I know I cant afford to bring the car to a dealership to get it done, so im going to attempt it myself. What are the big things I have to take care of? The tires I already have done. I know I need to change out the transmission fluid and rear diff oils. Anything else major I need to do? Could use some tips on how to change those fluids. Also what oil should I be using? Its on a 08 2.5i auto-transmission.

If anyone wants to help will feed them and pay in beer:D

i believe the 30k is a bunch of checks, along with:

tranny service (optional but recommended)

diff service (optional but recommended)

oil change

spark plugs

air filter

cabin air filter

brake fluid exchange

Coolant exchange

tire rotation

I am leaning for fluids (tell me if its a bad idea or not)

for the AT transmission: motul ATF technosynthese

for the differential: motul gearbox 80w90 (API-4/gl-5)

Know where I can buy it (besides internet)?

Anything better than the subaru AT filter?
