Does anyone happen to have an old hub with the 5 X100 bolt pattern kicking around that you might give up for cheeeeep? It's not intended to be used on the car, but to make a hub puller to fit my slide hammer. I might get creative... Thanks!
Call Joel or Kyle in EG Parts. We've done a couple new style wheel bearings. Maybe they can cough up one of the bad warranty hub-bearing assemblies they have layin around.
The 05+ legacys have an all in one piece hub-bearing-mount combo that bolts right to the knuckle and the axle goes thru it. Basically a sealed bearing, but you could get the hub out with some force. Or let me have it for a day or so and I could press it out.
And on another note:
05 legacys have an extended warranty on wheel bearings. Seems Subaru found those particular early run bearings didn't last as long as they should so they've extended coverage beyond the regular Powertrain coverage. Consult your dealer.
