97 outback gas tank filler pipe.

I know these are a common problem area for subarus, but I was wondering if anyone has a parts car with one in good shape or have a good lead on finding one. I really need this fixed before winter and with gas at 4$ a gallon I just can't afford a leaky gas tank. Thanks

I don't have a spare one, but jason, bratman on here, probably still has one for sale. I'd post in his fs thread or pm him or something.

I'll try and page him on facebook.

You're in luck with that 97, you don't have all the emissions BS to deal with. So you can get the much cheaper pipe.

They're really not that hard to replace, just be careful with the rubber hose that goes into the gas tank.

Also, since the outback is lifted an inch, it makes it that much easier to get access. I like changing those much better than the legacy. Or rather, I should say, I hate changing them less.

I do believe I have one, it does need to be cleaned up, and should just throw a coat of epoxy on it to assure that it's solid, but you could have it pretty cheap.
