Hey guys
I've got a 99 Legacy 2.2 with 84,000 on it. Recently the CEL comes on and flashes at me at around ~2000 rpms. I pulled the code and it was Cylinder 1 misfire. Right away I changed plugs, wires, I swapped out the ignition coil with a good one, I have compression tested both cylinders on that side (190psi), I checked out the fuel filter to make sure it wasn't clogged, where should I go from here? I figured from the start it was a faulty injector, but I've got one Subaru mechanic saying it's definitely not that, and another saying that it almost positively is. The one that said it's not had suggested that it's most likely a bent valve and suggested that I will probably have to pull the heads. After I compression tested it, I knew this wasn't the problem (whew!).
I plan on testing the wires to the injector #1, but if it's not the injector or the wiring to it...what else could it be?? Thanks a lot.
