YARRR SUBY MONSTER!!
My A/C has been getting worse and worse. So I got a recharge bottle from napa, charged it up, and it worked awesome!!
But I've noticed it slowly over the past few weeks starting to fade again
I figured there has to be a leak somewhere... and there is. The valves under the blue caps in the system on the high and low pressure line are leaking. When I take the caps off I hear a pop as pressure escapes, and when I look at the valves, in both high and low pressure, I can see foamy stuff in them. Bubbling up. Even when the car is off. So I can basically watch the system sit there and actively leak.
What can I do about this? Do I have to replace the lines to fix this problem? Can I get some sort of cap to screw on that will make a tight seal to keep the refrigerant leaking out the valves? This seems like the easiest option. Does such thing exist?
thanks.
