i've got an sohc 2.5 block that needs bearings for $100. pair that with dohc 2.5 heads and a metal sti headgasket and you have 11.4:1 compression.

heh, ANYTHING to do with boats basically doubles the price.

bran new suby 2.5 motor runs roughly $5500, so a marinized one at $11k sounds about typical.

Truth.

Add the word "marine" to any washer or bolt and expect to pay a gazillion times more.
