Alright to run with just headers through cat?

I was just wonderin if it would harm my motor by just running it with the headers down through the cat. The weld rusted through and broke off in front of the resonater. I dont have money or resources to weld it right off quick but was wonderin if it would be harmful to run it without that much back pressure. I know it back fires like crazy right now

 
That would acctually be less back pressure if im not mistaken and it shouldnt hurt anything other then your ears.

Of course I wouldnt take a nap in it while its running either.

not sure exactly where your exhaust leak is. if leak is upstream of your 02 sensor, that's probly contributing to yer backfires

sensor could be reading fresh air in exhaust mix as lean-burn condition so it's telling ecu to richen mixture and bap bap bap you got a scooby that sounds more like a Harley

weld that puppy up soon or you gonna create more probs down the line

 
Yea my back i meant less back pressure.. but it broke off after the o2 sensors and cat, but yea that's kinda what it sounds like a harley lol. Ill figure out somethin to do with it

 
Haha yea man i just dont want to screw up my beloveds Heart lol. Yea from what ive been readin itll be fine. Still on for tommorow? ill Be puttin in the speedo cable early in the am. pickin it up at like 7
