This youtube user named subaruLT caught my attention some time ago.

the mentality was very much the maine I lived in with machinery and can do attitude. David's farm really is an idiot in comparison.

now he has got a nissan pathfinder with unimog axles getting welded underneath.

He knew the value of the subes and independent AWD, obviously, as he built a mini-monster.. I guess this is what some guys in the overseas wilderness do with unimog parts local and the broken ricer...

Love the mindset..and actual work. Mainstream? GTFO. It just aint good enough...

Knowing weld and no reward... but your own.

this guy is doing good work.

the sube as larger in the offroad world would be incredible...imagine the unimog axle ends *and* a subaru type center...

holy cow... does not exist.

I bet if the subarus guts were bigger, I wonder if he he woulda put the unimog hack into that...independent all the way around tucked geometry of subaru, and the unimog ends for final lift. Awesome thought.

hrm...I know where there's an ex-Swiss military Unimog for sale in Bangor area, now all ya'd need is the beat up Xterra and beaucoup elbow grease.

that Unimog is an amazingly capable beast off road. only trouble is when you get it stuck in the middle of a paintball battle, it's REALLY REALLY stuck! (looong story, well a short one actually)
