Another Darwin Award nominee

Ya know...I bet an old air cylinder would make a nice rocket booster. A scuba tank or something... Those things are made from nice 1 piece chromoloy.

 
^ yea, I bet that would work. Sometimes I'll take old CO2 cartridges and fill them with gun powder to make little rockets. Put a hole up through the middle, run a fuse, light it and RUN LIKE HELL!!!

I've had those go up so far I've lost sight of them completely

 
Yes a compressed air tank will work. When I was in high school we built small go-cart sized cars that were powered by firefighters air tanks or something siimilar with an on/off valve. It worked well, but didn't last long.

Wow, I heard about this one on TOS the other day. On a side note though, does't your stupidity need to actually kill you for the Darwin award to apply since its given for Great moments in the history of Natural Selection? If he did not die, which I hope he doesn't BTW, then technically he probably doesn't qualify for the Darwin Award.

In order to get a Darwin award, you either need to die or be sterilized. As long as you are out of the gene pool, you may qualify.

 
I heard this on FreeBeer and Hotwings morning show. I am all about having fun and doing stupid things no and again, but this is really dumb

The other part of darwin awards that bothers me that most people brush over. is whether the idiots have reproduced. If the person has already reproduced, even if they do something really stupid, they shouldn't qualify. They've passed their genes on, they can no longer get a darwin award.

 
This still qualifies for a Darwin Award because idiots like this guy are examples of what happens when two stupid people breed. In other words, his parents passed the idiot genes on to him.

 
^ but even if his parents do something stupid, they can't qualify. Because they passed their stupid genes on. Even if they're rendered incapable of reproducing anymore, they've done their damage.

So if this guy has reproduced, in my mind, he longer qualifies.
