Anyone else find this a little....odd?

Just got off the phone with the ex. My daughters b-day is less than 2 weeks away, and apparently one of her friend's mother is hosting a sleep over...for my daughters b-day. With all their friends from class. Am I being weird, or is this weird?

 
So a woman, not related to your daughter in any way, is throwing a sleep-over birthday bash for your daughter... yes, odd.

 
Her best friend's mom, yeah. I mean I guess I don't mind, and the ex knows her and is all for it.

It's just like, what does this woman think? I'm weirded because I kinda makes me feel like people (or at least her) think I don't do enough for my daughter. Granted, b-days have been rough the last couple years because the ex and I seperated, but we've actually buried the hatchet and we're planning one big one together for her this year.

not really anything wrong persay.. but then just isn't quite right...

 
one of those weird mom's that won't let you daughter stay at other folks house, would rather have the party at her house so she know her child is safe????? people are freakin weird now a days

Damn, another thread that got castrated during the move.

Anyway, I've now officially gone from weirded to super-pissed. Woman who planned all this called the ex to cancel with some lame ass excuse today, and the sleepover is tonite. So, now I have a devastated birthday girl on my hands tonite.

 
Thought about that, but the GF will be recovering from surgery tonite, and a have a spaghetti dinner for their softball teams to go to tonite anyway. Hopefully that will cheer her up a bit, and maybe a movie if anything good is playing.
