So, I had a tragic accident earlier that involved a 9'6" kayak in my 9'5" passenger compartment. Needless to say my kayak broke my windshield. Between safelites best deal and my progressive discount they said 336, to which I said that's. More than I make in a week. So he says name a figure I'll ask my manager. Got scheduled for 286 installed at a location of my choice. Anyone found anything cheaper for 02-07 imp waggie?

$225 @ portland glass WITH the 12mo roadhazard replacement warranty. and that is the WRX limited windscreen with the wiper defrost. I don't know if you have that, but it adds to the cost. safelite doesn't offer the 12mo thing to the best of my knowledge. so you may want to shop around.

oh and put your yak on the roof. just get the blue foam pads and strap it to the recovery point on the bumper and in the back.

 
I have a rack for the roof, was trying to get another one inside. Safelite said lifetime warrentee

 
Is it installation warranty only? or does it cover any breaks? The Portland glass warranty is 12 mo ANYTHING breaks it and they replace it. The installation warranty is included with theirs for life as well.

 
yeah I would. That would mean no return customers ever, if they offered lifetime road hazard on a windscreen.

 
No roadhazard, but $20 is for them to come to me, plus tax and stuff. I didn't check any other vendors yet, but I believe evergreen ises safelite, and my insurance company reccomended them. And with my schedule I need someone to come to me, I don't have time to go to a shop and wait around

 
Well joel called portland glass while I was at eg today, they can do it for 240, and as soon as Thursday, right at evergreen while I'm at work. Guess what I'm doing?

 
180 from robertsons glass up here in bangor...I need to replace mine as well..but I have an 02 with no electronics in it.

 
I thought I heard once that's where my radio antenna was... not that I listen to it. 180 would be better but I'd spend the difference in fuel driving to bangor

 
Much cheaper than a rear window. $855. quote, fortunately just 100. with insurance.

Pg did mine at eg today. 240 total. Starting the serious work on a double kayak rack for the roof tonight. Hopefully it'll be done for sunday
