Anyone in a fantasy football league?

My fiance's cousin convinced me to try it out this year, since they needed one more person for their 12-team league. It's through NFL.com and is standard scoring, non-ppr.

So far I'm 8-1 and in first place overall.

I've done a lot of reading (takes a lot of research) and grabbed some decent players off waivers. No one really is into trading, which is boring. My roster:

Starters

QB: D. Brees

RB: P. Thomas

RB: J. Addai

WR: D. Driver

WR: R. Wayne

WR: S. Rice

TE: V. Davis

K: Gostkowski

DST: Dallas

Bench

RB: J. Charles

WR: P. Harvin

TE: J. Shockey

DST: Cincy

DST: Ariz

I've got 3 DST's on my roster because I'm guaranteed good matchups for the rest of the season. I can easily drop one if needed though.

 
Doing about average this year, Brady is helping me a lot. First year I have played for money, I am 2.5 games back and up 20 points this week, should get me closer to the top. Other than that, I have nothing, know nothing, and play by the seat of my pants. G/L And well done for your rookie season.

 
Augh! I lost 109-108 this week. I'm kicking myself for not starting Cincy's defense (22 points) over Dallas (10 points). Also, Vernon Davis' 1-point performance Thursday vs. the Bears is now haunting me.

I also can't believe Drew Brees looked completely mediocre vs. the Rams.
