Anyone want a Bi-xenon Projector Retrofit?

If you don't know what that is I don't blame you. It took me a while to realize that there was something other than PlugNPlay HID kits: link

I'm just asking because I used to do a lot of retrofits on Honda's when I was living in North Carolina.

I did my first Impreza the other day and am ready to start doing them on Subaru's.

Since I'm trying to build my portfolio for Subaru's I'm willing to do the first couple sets for pretty cheap, plus the Mainah discount of course.

I'm not one that worries about making my car look cooler, but I would love to have more light output. How much does these thing usually go for? Any pictures of the ones you have already installed?

Yeah, I don't do these for people who JUST want to 'look cooler.' Those people get weeded out by getting 8000k ebay HID plugnplay kits.

Bi-xenon retrofits are for people who want more usable light. Don't get me started on the ebay plugnplay kit phenomenon I might explode.

Here are what mine look like. If you have clear lenses your output will be very good. I'm working on moulds for making clear lenses for the 93-96 Impreza but if you have a 97-98 the 99-01 headlights are the best for retrofits.

Here are pics of mine: http://www.brightnightcustoms.com/picture-portfolio.html

The reason I haven't stated a price yet is because it really depends on what you want to do. If you just want good bixenon retrofit on a budget you'd be looking at $300 in parts plus $100 in labor. If you want to do something crazy like four FX-R projectors in 99-01 lights that could be as much as $1000 plus $300 labor.

I don't sell parts, I just tell you what you need and where to get them.

That low beam cut off is absolutely immaculate.

I want to do a TSX retrofit sooo badly in my JDMs, but would never have the balls to split open my head lamps.

Yeah the cuttoff pics are from the Morimoto Mini which take a lot less time to install... I'd charge $100 labor to retrofit those. It's what I have in my headlights and they are quite amazing. They are a perfect blend of budget minded and quality minded lighting. A very good (but not the best) bixenon projector at an attractive price with no bells and whistles.

Be warned though that if your lenses aren't clear like 99-01 lenses or ebay lenses the cutoff wont be that sharp.

I'm working on a mold for making clear lenses for the 93-96 headlights since I don't think anyone makes them right now.

Mark, I can do them for you anytime. If you just want the basic bixenon retrofit we can do that. I remember you had 99 clears right? If so you're a lucky bastid. I sold mine so I have my fluted glass lenses now.

PS: you need a legacy turbo crossmember?

Huh that site that sells projectors is pretty cool.... I used the Lexus RX projectors on my accord when i retrofitted that like 3 years ago, I guess the pile of lexus RX projector headlights i have are worth some cash afterall, since those guys get 170 a set haha

Well it looks like after talking to TRS and after they saw that I was serious they have given me a locked in price drop on the Morimoto Minis.

Parts cost is now $250 instead of $300.

Excellent. If you're doing these by the time I get my project on the road, I'll very likely take you up on this offer
