Anyone willing to trailer a parts car from Augusta to South Portland?

I've been trying for the last month to buy a parts car off of a member on here... but we can't seem to work out any way for it to be transported. Towing businesses want between one arm and one leg to tow the car.

Anyone on here want to take on this task? It would be best to be on a wednesday or a sunday.

It's a 95 sedan.

Let me know if you're interested and we could work something out.

have a friend with AAA Plus? towing is free up to 100mi. i got mine most of the way from boston to evergreen a couple years ago that way.

ill rent you my car trailer, but you will need a truck. (too lazy to replace my transmission)

I might look into that actually. That's a great idea. Does the car have to be registered and insured though?

That's really kind of you, but one of my issues is finding someone with a truck who will do it. I'm told in Maine we are always one degree of separation from a truck but I personally don't see it haha.

Maybe someone on here with a truck and a trailer wants two weekend jobs?

when i had mine towed, they didnt ask any questions. just wanted to see my card.

My wife works for AAA. Not to mention I love them regardless. AAA Plus is the shizzle. If you are AAA Platnium you get a 250 mile tow once a year. You have to be a AAA Plus though for atleast for a year before you can apply for the Platnium.

Regardless. Buy an acount with AAA. You will need to get AAA Plus. the basic only covers 5 miles for free.

AAA Plus covers up to 4 100 mile tows a year.

You have a 2 day waiting period also. Which means if you call or go to sign up at a AAA office lets say on Wed at 10 am you have to wait till Friday at 10 am before you can use the service.

Haha, come to find out I DO have AAA Plus.

So what's the deal? I just call them and say I want a 60 mile tow?

I'm just nervous having something towed that hasn't been on the road in who knows how long, would they still do it??

I just called them. Apparently they will tow unregistered and uninspected cars as long as you cannot start them.

Fuseable link anyone? haha

I never got an extra charge for flats. Then again I've only called them 3 times. Twice due to locking my keys in the car, and once because I needed a bit of help getting out of a ditch (recurring theme) full of snow.
