Time to buy some appliances.

I am not sure where the good deals are to be had or what is good anymore.

Not trying to go baller status with this stuff. so no crazy $5k ranges.

what do you like, what do you hate? and where can I get it for small sums of $$

Unfortunately just about all appliances are made out of the country. It`s almost as bad as the shoe industry

not true at all there are a lot of brands that are based out of the country but a ton assembled in the us. i used to work at lowe sin appliances so i am your man. what do you need stove dishwasher etc? what color you lookign for? what price do you need to stay at for all the apllainces you need? let me know specifics and i can help ya out. the best way to get a good price is to price shop home depot and lowes. go when they are having a sale at lowes get a quote from them. go over to home depot and have them beat the price. then take that back to lowes and they have to match the price plus beat it by 10 percent as long as it isn't a special order sale. so let me know what i asked abotu and ill help ya

 
oh also go to lowes.com and go to ther emovign section put in your name and current adress and they will send oyu a 10 percent off coupon. so after you get them to chop down the price and they input it in the system you get up front to the register pop out the coupon and blam another 10 percent off. what can i say i knwo the inside secrets and im a jew a deadly combo

 
my best friends parents own Downeast Appliance in portland. Maytag one of the best brands out there and you dont have to worry about them breaking.

 
I got a great deal on kenmore stuff last year... I was ready to pay cash but opened a sears card to get a better deal; THink I saved about 28% off of retail price off of the set I got... great deal as I was in a position to payt it off.

Look around, read consumer reports, talk to people U know and find out what they like.... I also like talking to the repair persons to see what they are ordering parts for or spending lots of time repairing..

 
both maytag and kenmore are made by whirlpool appliances so your buyign the same thing. i promise i know whats best for the money if you let me knwo what you are lookign for. unfortunatly there is no way a mom or pop shop will be able to compete with the prices from a big store like lowes

 
Got my GE appliances at Lowe's.

Get gas! I love my gas range...and it's got this center burner thing that's really neat too.

Wifey and I bought a house with brandy-new GE appliances in the kitchen. They get a resounding *meh* from me.

We went Bosch for washer & dryer. Yeah, we spent more than we should. Yeah, I would do it again. Those things are quiet, efficient, and darn good looking, too. Gotta love that German engineering

wolf and viking are out of the question.

Gas is great, but induction is king. temperature control like you wouldn't believe.

but I don't want to put that in now. that will be when we redo the kitchen. so for now Gas.

i have tons of used gas if you want to take it off my hands:lol: i usually have a new supply of it every 2 hours or so depending on what i had to eat

I notice an email that sears had a big blowout...yesterday! Srry dude I f'd up and didnt get it posted when it was actually going on...

doh..it was the least I could have done for dude who was rippin such fast times at NEFR...
