Well I have tried to hold off doing much in this rain, we are getting pounded pretty good here, but alas I need to go check things around here it has been to quiet.

How is everyone else fairing, I heard all of Androscoggin County had a flood watch, anyone else?

I woke at about 1.00 to torrential rain. And when I went back to bed at about 3.30 it was still going strong. Had calmed down by around 4.30 or 5 though. I'd much rather have been sleeping though ... heh.

I was driving through farmington around 9 to 9:30 last night running a friend to MickeyDs. I thought I might need to get a better set of tires for driving in the rain, because these dunlops were starting to slide a little bit. Then I checked the rain gauge this morning, we got more than 2" of rain

!!! Guess that means it probably wasn't the tires fault.

My stock all seasons failed to go sideways whenever I tried

I have a story about that... my all-seasons on my car are absolutely horrible.

So a few weekends ago I was in Boston, taking a very tight concrete offramp in the rain. Keeping up with traffic speed in the outside lane. When all of a sudden, I lose grip on all 4 wheels ... I'm glad I'm good at getting my car back under control in that situation otherwise it would have been REALLY bad.

I had a friend in the passenger seat nearly **** himself

we had to take a 1.5 mile detour at 2 AM, after we couldn't pass a fire truck pumping water out of the ditch/house. The crappy part was, that our house was 500 ft past that spot
