bandwidth test, maine

<1.8 liter

holy cow. In 2000s, i was first with broadband for my area, adelphia. I then went to the fastest dsl for regular people. I am now riding a decent offer for 8mbit...

and now this.

ponder 56k modem, a 233mhz, and unix chatrooms being the fastest thing for realtime talk you ever saw...complete with international server network splits so violent the computer would lock up.

or how about 2.5 days dpwnload, auto redialer for the 24 hour kick, for a linux cd, to find it is kernel hacked (very rare occurance- even today)

I feel older all the time. oh the great fun of not along ago, and a pc.

I'm not a fan of roadrunner...

Still no fiber-optics to my neighborhood, but I can manage 1.0MB (not Mb) download on roadrunner cable.

I get about 1.5mbit down, about 800kbit up. Not horribly fast, but I have no bandwidth limits, all ports opened, and static IP, so I can run mail server and stuff.

Wow, OP's speed is impressive. I'm sitting on the university nasty-fast fiber and at this moment I can't touch your d/l speed

slow upload speed on 800 on my internet drives me crazy. I upload all the time. (upload is often downloading something from my server from my work, or wherever)

And I never upload really anything ('cept for Pics every now and then), but I'm sitting on this HUUUGE up pipe.
