Best stuff for sealing cracked headlight housing?

What would you guys recommend to seal up the back (not the lens) of a headlight that's cracked? Must be water resistant of course...

seam sealer or seacoast should carry something that will seal it up tight

asphalt and roof caulking. you can get it at lowes depot.

then caulk the **** out of it.

Well I know Lobstah originally told me to use caulking as well... but then I had some people tell me to use epoxy, or JB weld.... hmmm just trying to get other opinions.

Just pull the headlight, find the crack, and stick some caulk in it....

Ooooohhhhh!!!!!!!! It had to be said. Tell me someone else was thinking it.

the roofing/asphalt caulking stuff can be removed unlike the JB weld. basically bake it like you would to clear your headlights. and it remains flexible so it won't crack again.

Like Pedro said roof sealant. I would recommend Geocel and its clear!

I have never used it for this purpose, but have used it for roofing (obviously) and used it to patch up buckets and similar applications. works wonders, home cheapot and lowes should have it. Other wise Hammond Lumber does

Plasic weld it... sand it with dremel and smooth it... then it will be good to go.

Basically Cut a zig zag in the crack... Heat, Melt plastic into the crack by torch or by woodburning tool and keep heated with heatgun... let dry/cool. Sand it, do it again (without the cuts) and then smooth it with dremel and should be good to go if you use the right plastics.

All of you are ghetto! USE DUCT TAPE!

What about Automotive "Goop". This is what my dad is telling me to use... http://www.biosafe-inc.com/Automotive.htm

What to do, what to do...

goop products suck. use the asphalt stuff. I have some in Kennebunk if you want to use a bit

do it right... dont be lazy
This^^^

if there is a break in the housing do what pat said. if it is sealing the clear housing to the back housing use the black roof/asphalt sealant.
