I'm still having a boost problem with my LGT. I have tried everything I can think of but still only make 9-10 lbs. of boost. I've had the boost gauge in it since a month after I bought the car last summer. It has never boosted higher than 10. I thought this was normal until I installed the AP didn't get anymore boost. Cobb says it should be running 16.5psi. It is NOT the boost gauge. Both the gauge and live datastream on the Accessport read the same. It is not the AP tune. It does it with stock tuning too. I've checked for boost leaks. I've even tried a manual boost controller, so that eliminates the factory boost control system. I've switched back to the stock bypass valve. I can't find any uppipe or boost leaks. The car runs great otherwise. No CEL. Any ideas?

 
Seeing how no one seems to have an opinion on this, I tried one last resort. Today I put a spring on the wastegate arm to tighten it up. Still no more boost. This leads me to believe that there is an actual problem with the wastegate itself. Maybe its cracked or has some sort of hole in it? I have eliminated all other possible options.

 
Thanks rob, but I've had this problem since before I put the exhaust on. I've searched everywhere for this problem, but can't find anything. I have found VF39s on the STIs are prone to wastegate cracks, and wondering if maybe mine has the same problem. I really think it has to be something mechanically with the turbo or wastegate.
