brake pads are not going back on

sooch

Type-RA
Am I mentally retarded or is there a reason my NEW brake pads are not going on? I have grinded them down for a while and they refuse to go in.... The pads are not fitting into the clips, can I keep sanding them down without worrying about ruining them?

Am I that mechanically retarded that I can't even replace brake pads. WOW FML

nope brought em over to napa and everything they said to sand the paint off and it should be good. what the butt?

. How much do you usually grind down? Ive been using a dremmel for about a half an hour on the same one...

theres rust behind the metal clips on the brackets, you need to take the clips off and chip and sand the rust off the bracket with a chisel and wire wheel.

clean out the calipers where clips and pads go, otherwise you will just cook the new pads when they get stuck.

don't axe how I learnt this.
