Camera Mount:

we used those c-clamp dealies a lot back when I worked video production

Pedro's setup seemed to work super well for clamping to wagon roof racks.

I used something similar to clamp a small camcorder onto headrest mount on a waggie rear seat, gave a great point of view with both driver's heads visible but the mount itself wobbled too much.

what about headrest mounts? Depending on how far away from the headrest you mount the camera, you may or may not get wobble.

A square alu or steel bar, two C clamp thingies, and four nuts... Stick the C clamps over the two headrest bars and around the steel bar, then tighten the nuts down. Add a tripod mount (~$20 I think) and you're good to go.

I'm getting one of those mounts eventually. It can clamp to head rest posts, windows, roof rails, wiper arms, anything. And then be pointed and pivoted in any position. Worked nice with Pedro's little CyberShot, or my wife's Kodak.

definitely.

it is the same Head as the IO port unit that sells for 110. and no tools needed to install.

my cybershot would have lasted longer if I hadn't dropped it down the escalator at the Hong Kong airport..
