technically modern art was a movement that started in the late 1800's. This would be referred to as contemporary art.

at one place I worked one of the tech's sister was a NH state trooper, one day while she was visiting, the doc went out and hung actual fresh dog testicles from the rear view mirror or her rig. she was not pleased, but the look on her face when she noticed them hanging was priceless.
