wow...crazy. so what i'm gathering is that her photographer sold the picture? that's what she seems to think in the footnote at least.

Who cares? Your face my be important to you, but to everyone else in the world it's just another face.

People are weird.

still creepy. she didn't seem uptight about it, but it's certainly startling your face could be selling any product anywhere in the world. this reminds me of a certain local ad i will be sharing with the site very shortly

what it was is that picture was for a christmas car and was on the photographers website and the owner of the market chain in europe used the picture because he liked it or something he has since taken them down and offered to send them a bottle of wine if they lived in Europe

this is according to the article i saw on yahoo

wow, that is quite creepy. the tips about watermark and low resolution was a good idea, and there is some places that allow for licensing (noone can just take it and keep it).

My personal epiphany about photos was in the late 90s, I signed up for some dating site (seemed respectable- it may have even been yahoo or msn), Well, I put two photos one was of me in the military.. Luckily, someone gave me advice not to even post it. It startled me enough never to use the sites that have personal information, and furthermore, like a photochopped car that was once yours, your life can be taken by a real weirdo altered and mimicked.

My woman had one of her images used at a site once upon a time without her permission.... Luckily the pic was technically owned y her employers so they took care of it ASAP.

Since then all the pixx have a small watermark with the studio added although I think that people who knowingly use pixx they do not have the rights too could care less in most cases.

I don't keep more than a couple hundred dollars in my checking/debit account. I keep a bunch of money in my savings account at the same bank. So at any time I can call the automated phone service and transfer money to my checking account. That way if someone gets my card they can only wipe out a couple hundred in my checking. Then I keep the rest of my money in another savings account. And I DON'T do online banking. Yeah I'm a bit paranoid.... but that's the way you have to be. Especially using my card online.
