ive been researching a lot about downpipes recently

ive seen many catless items

and some for sale on this forum

can you run a catless downpipe in maine and pass for a sticker?

Yes you can. Usually you just have to have a cat in the rest of the exhaust system. There have been other people on the forum. Me included that have gotten inspections and don't have any cats what so ever and passed.

Well it all depends on where you go for an inspection. Technically, no, you can't pass in Maine with a catless exhaust system.

IMO, I would just run a high flow catted DP to play it safe and you won't have to worry about failing an inspection at all.

as long as you dont have a check engine light due to a cat or o2 code, you should be fine. i have never once, had a shop put my car on a lift to look for cats.

Some places do, some don't. Depends how busy they are

. The last 2 years my car was lifted and checked.

I hate you guys. No matter where I go they either:

a) hardly check the car and fail me for having an 'aftermarket exhaust'

lift my car and pass my konis/gcs and aftermarket exhaust and fail me for a nick in the brake line

I'd rather have B but I can't seem to get a combination of the two. Hardly check the car and actually know that exhausts and suspension is friggen legal.
