Yeah, it is a cheap crappy Chinese kit for about $120. I got my kit brand new on craigslist for $45 though... But the kit is crap, half the parts were broken. Some things, like the chain tensoiner it came with was plastic! So I made a custom one. I did a lot of custom stuff, but the thing runs pretty well now. I can cruise about 25 to 30mph. I'm looking into getting a CVT for it.

And I don't live in Lewiston, I live in Bremen. That is Biscay pond in Damariscotta, near the Bremen line.

I still need to install the spoiler and (hood?) scoop. Should add about 0.4 WHP

ok do you have details on the kit?

I could probably find a bike to put one of these on.

how fast does it go??

My kit is a 66cc engine. 50cc is the legal limit... SHHHHHHHH

It comes with the clutch assembly, chain, rear gear. All the parts needed, some that aren't needed, missing some that are needed, and has some inadequate parts... like plastic non-bearing chain tensioner...

If you are good at taking engines and cabs apart and fixing them/tuning them. If you are good at going to the hardware store and getting creative to make, say, an engine mount. This kit is for you. It is cheap ($120) and after some modding, it works pretty damn well.

Right now I have the 44 tooth rear gear, I can go around 30mph top speed. I haven't had it up that far yet because I'm still breaking the engine in. It has a bit of a hard time pulling up steep hills... unless you mod the exhaust

I'm planning on making some adapters and stuff so I can run it through the gears already on the bike. So that would greatly improve everything.

I'll keep updating as I do stuff. I just finished replacing all the gaskets in the carb, intake pipe, and exhaust. All the seals from China were crappy and leaking already... I just bought seal material from napa and cut my own seals.

Awesome job! I didn't think you'd have it done this quick!! Looks like fun, and very economical!
