The scangauge2 can do all that and more, but you're looking at around $175 for a new one.How much can you mess up the price? haha.
I'd pay a good amount for one that could display units like rpm, coolant temp, open/closed loop, o2 etc. But for just codes and clearing there's this: http://www.amazon.com/CodeKey-Engine-Diagnostic-Tool-Board/dp/B0025ZHF9W
As long as the trans reports it's temp to the computer, there's probably an Xgauge for the scangauge2 that'll do it.Inski,
Do you know of a scan tool that will do trans temp on a Toyota product? I need one that does that for the lexus to do the trans fluid level after a flush.
Pretty much. you have to go into the Xgauge setup thing and you just enter the values from the manual and save them.It does as that is what is required for the service. but I am not going to find, nor do I want to pay for a factory Yota computer tool. and I don't really want to spend $175 on a "probably work".
I have read about the X gauges. what are they exactly? Custom gauges that you have to add values for?
I don't have the manual for mine. I got it for $40 though, so I'm not complaininghmm.. do you have he manual for yours? I would be interested in trying it. If it works I will probably pick one up
well that is, if you are up to it.
Yep, it's niceNice, thanks.
I like how you can mount those so they are visible while driving too.
