Check Engine Light. Can A Dp Cause This?

I just got a 3in Dp installed, it has no cats. We pulled the battery cables to clear the computer and it still pops up. Is this just because I don't have my cats anymore? What can i do to get rid of this Check Engine Light.?

what did you do with the O2 sensor from the stock dp?

you may have to use the old 1.5-ohm resistor trick. go to nasioc.com tech forums and search "1.5 ohm resistor"

it's easy, been done many many times. you unplug the sensor, bridge the resistor across two terminals in the plug on chassis side (the black and white ones) and poof you fake out the CEL

Yes. and you realy shouldn't be doing a DP without any tuning. It is the fast track to blowing the engine.

Your CEL is P0420 because the O2 sensor that is checking the efficiency of the CAT is seeing that it is 0% efficient because it isn't there. You will not pass inspection with this.

if you know someone with a tactrix cable they can disable this code.

Yeah I still have not gotten a CEL for my catless DP, I'm guessing it's because I tuned it with my Accessport

You are and can, I'm just saying I expected to get a code for my catless DP, and I haven't yet, and I'm thinking that because it's tuned with the accessport that maybe it kinda canceled that code out for stage 2?

try the $0 solution...put a piece of black tape over the dang lite, millions of Mainers have been doing this for years
