So I've recently ran into problems with my 05 wrx. Between 2k and 2500rpm the engine sometimes cuts in and out mostly only in 3rd gear. Now today I get a check engine light after it stalls twice, which both times happened as soon as I started letting out the clutch. Been reading a little on the issue and seem to think its a cat problem. Im not getting as much accelration as I use to, and there is more of a smell from the exhaust but its not a rotten egg/sulfur smell. Planning on getting the code checked tomorrow but anyone have an idea what this could be?
