Ok decided to check tranny fluid today because for awhile now I have had a reverse light problem so decided to give it a look. When I checked it the fluid is milky white. I was like wtf? How did water get into my tranny?

Ok last person to touch my car was Evergreen. They changed my fluids for me and everything. I know that they messed up and put the wrong fluid in the rear diff. Is there anyway they could have messed up for the front and not done or sealed something right? I have 56k miles on my car so it should be covered under warranty right?

I'd contact Shorty if you're concerned about EG service.

if it's milky, it's probably water or some other contaminant. def replace the fluid

damn sounds like bubbles in the fluid and or water... either is no good. DRAIN IT AND REFILL IT THEN DRAIN AGAIN (FLUSH IF POSSIBLE). I would see what was put in or if it has any sort of a cooler (i dont think it does). But if not water it is bubbles...

Ok, so yesterday. I drained the fluid. It was all milky white coming out. So I bought 3 qts of some cheap 75w-90 and put in the tranny afterwards I drained it out then I filled the tranny up with Amsoil Syn. 75w-90.

I just don't understand how water got in the transmission. Thing is air tight.

Shifting feels much better now though.

it's not air tight. there are always breathers on the transmissions and rear diffs.

otherwise when it heats up you will blow the seals out. I don't remember where the breather is on the 6spd tho.

It was a creamy color just a little more creamy than milk would be.

The breather for the 6 manual is on top right under were my top mount would go if I still had one. Checked hose looks fine.

Now the shifting on my tranny is much smoother with the amsoil. I love it.
