As there is some unique stuff for subes, steel changes and years, I ask by chance has anyone used klearkote 5185 and one of the 3 hardeners?
I got some with enthusiasm and wonder iof the liveliness of an 87 steelie sube is gonna go bad sooner than later. There is not a fact written accept for trial and error. The acrylics are a sick joke. no matter the single stage version...
I also did find a paint called nason by dupont, fantastic color match if you have paint code...the only similar between new and old is the cheapness of oem, and the farther the years go back, the more 1 year colotrs and real flake of minerals strangely (my own sube has quite a list of materials to gain the plain metallic brown). I could assume the more powerful unibody shakers of today need good paint, I would take any recommendation who has dealt with this.
