Close Miss, got lucky.

I was on my way home from working late last night and as I was doing about 60 to 65 down this middle of nowhere backroad a small doe jumped out in front of me! This deer was litteraly no more than 10 feet off my bumper when I saw it and I didn't have any time to swerve out of the way, all I could do was brace for the impact that I knew was about to happen. Then fate must have changed its mind finally, because I got lucky. That damn deer jumped over me and my car at 60mph

. Next thing I knew I saw the deer it my rear view mirror turning around in to the woods. I damn near soiled my self:lol:. All was well though and I drove slowly for the remaining leg of the trip home. Hopefully my luck has turned around for a while. I am sick of changing bumpers and rims and repainting a car that's barely 6 months old.

I live down an out-of-the-way road too and am tempted to push it often...but fall and spring are times when I have to watch out for my dear friends.

...when in doubt, aim for the BACK of the animal...deer and moose don't have very good reverse gears

all they gots to do is take 2 more steps while you are stomping on the brakes aaaaaaggh! and then RELEASING THE BRAKES to make that last-second swerve, and presto, you miss em (he said hopefully)

Think I need to get a 10" sub for this thing. My 12" subs in my last car made effective deer and moose repellents 99% of the time.

once with a moose. luckily there was a huge dirt parking lot to my right, threw the car into it, drifted through it, and back onto the road just avoiding plowing into some trees. awd ftw. good times.
