Crazy idea but will it work?

I dont even know why I am bringing this up but here it is.......

I just ended up with a 89? vw fox and I was looking on the internet trying to find out what I can do with it and I found some stuff about putting a subaru engine in one. Even though it didnt show how to do it, is it even possible? What do I have to do to pull somthing like this off anyways? I figure any engine over 91hp would be a great gain. lol

You'll need maaad $$ just to keep the Fox moving under its own power in stock form.

IF a Subaru Boxer does fit between the frame rail up front then go ahead and cut a very large cavern thru the firewall and center hump of the car. Then cut a huge hole in the rear for the rear diff, then put the gas tank in the the back seat area somewhere. Then drive it! Hella fun times!

Drive it, or stick a 2.0 liter OBD 1 ...that would probably be the cheapest swap
