Crazy STI Crash

i was thinking more about snow tires where there is no snow.

If there were rear seat passengers they are lucky to be alive with a harness bar installed.

 
I love it when people throw money elsewhere when their tires are terrible.

MAN..I had those same tires on my STI in the winter. Those "studdless" type winters are the squishiest tire I have ever driven on. If there wasn't even snow....I have to go slow on dry pavement...Great in the white stuff. Phil could 2nd this, he bought them off me. Deep down we all know it was the CF hood that saved them.

This is why I don't swerve like a lunatic to try and avoid deer. I just use the brakes, and if I'm going to hit him...I'm going to hit him. It wouldn't be the first time anyway.

if there's a deer in the road and you can't miss, at least aim for the back!

deer don't have very good reverse...if he takes just a couple steps forward while you are like

I've gone hunter with my 4runner in gorham on flaggy meadow..1am....3 deer on left in yard ...I pass them I said wow that was close....150ft up road...single deer running full speed at 45 degree to truck ..,,.lock brakes sqreeeeeeeech ...BANG! ...WTF...... deer does a "b-boy" break dance on road, then gets up, makes it like 50 ft drops. I get out ........look around, grab my flood light....then I get a visit from four Gorham PD cruisers they get out with weapons drawn,..telling me not to move (The woman that lives alone at the house where in front of her house this happened called 911 saying there was a mad man that was trying to get her or something weird! ).....I get to tell them the story.. they laughed and helped me find deer in woods. The end.

 
I've had 3 deer hits, and they've all been from the side. They come running out of the woods and thunk into my pass doors and fender.

 
ah the old trying to miss a dear routine.

i used that one once. when i slid my old sundance into the median.

 
I have a friend who had an interesting deer encounter. He slammed on the brakes, and stopped just in time. While he was sitting stopped, waiting for the deer to pass another deer came running full speed out of the forest. And ran into the side of the car and pretty much smashed the door in. He was pretty pissed about that... Deer don't have insurance
