DAMN DSL keeps crapping out on me for 30 sec - 2 min!!

How the hell am I supposed to be able to keep up with Pedro with the posting if I can't stay online steady. I have to keep 'sitting and waiting' for the damn internet light to come back on in my modem/router (it's one of the combined ones). GRRR
