Well hello everyone! I will be there....and might possibly be racing my car in the spectator drags. Anyone else going to venture down for this?

 
My dad is racing his mustang as per usual. I was going to make a thread about the spectator drags for the summer, last time I posted about it, it wasn't well received so I haven't bothered.

As for you running your car.... I would suggest only race it if you are okay with trailering it home.....

Pictures from the Beach Ridge spectator drag to persuade people to come watch, and to dissuade anyone from showing up and wanting to race in a nice car. I am not saying don't run your car to be a dick. I am saying it so you wont be sad when some jerkface puts your car into the wall in turn 4 or spins you off the line or all the other retarded **** that happens at BeechRidge. Let me make it clear.

I've pretty much grown up going to these. My dad is on his second car, I know way to much about this damn series.

Grandstand 10 bucks. Pits 15 bucks. Starts at 6. I'll probably be there way earlier since the pits open early. Let me know what time you think you'll be free Garrett. I'll try and find out what time we're rolling out of NG to head down.

Yea.....i plan to either A: Let the person go and let them win to see what my car will do, or B: Race a friend lol. But that's if i i deside to race. I was at beechridge when all that shindig happened. That was an awesome time!

 
Hey Dan, Would you mind asking your dad if I could race him? I aint gonna wreck him. I think that the only way ill race. Ill send you my digits in a PM. I gotta work tomorrow but ill be heading over after I get out.

 
I remember that, that was a said day for that jeep, pontiac chevy and the pickup; would love to go but will be wokring, I start my new job the 14th of June, so should be able to make more of these!

 
Racing with a friend is all good and grand, but Beech Ridge can and has reorganized the group to match up similar cars. People also mess up the order sometimes when they're pulling out onto the track. Oxford less so, but still a possibility. It's doable, just not 100% guaranteed.

 
Well I raced and won one race! That was against an Audi, V8. Then I was up against a Mustang. He pretty much chewed me off the line and toyed with me till the finish ><. But i got to see how my car handled! And i figured out that I need something better than stock suspension! lol

You did very well first round and looked good on the track, but you'd need a ton more mods to win overall. The guy you raced is Bruce, him and his brother + friends have been winning a lot of these for a while. Supercharged 5.0 mustangs with drag radials, torque arm, full suspension, etc. They make power (I've seen the dyno plots

), and put it all down.

that's why I post the pictures. I don't want people thinking just because you can run your daily it wont get touched. The Jeep that got swiped in the pic go from 30k to 45k, not a rig who's quarter panels I would be happy to have mashed in. Just because your car is fast, doesn't mean someone wont lock their wheel towards you off the start...

It is a matter of WHEN you will get hit, not if.

my buddy Bruce used to win all the time, he had a purpleish blue eagle talon with chrome 18's.... car made 450awhp, and had a fully built driveline, so he could launch the **** out of it.
