I went to this last night and im still in awe it was the funnest thing ive been to in a long time. Did anyone else go? One of the most interesting things was when a brand new jeep srt8 got side swiped by a junk pick up on purpose. That guy was pissed.

 
Well before all the garbage cars come out and smash into eash other they have what they call a spectator drag. The spectator drag is where you can race your car, hitting is allowed but frowned apon.

 
I was there last night in the pits. Dad brought his mustang to spectator drags. 1995 5.0 Supercharged. Won the first round he was in against a bunny car, then lost second round.

I was there shooting video and my sis was taking pictures. I'll try and do a huge picture content post in a little bit.

I'm stoked you posted that video Nate, From the pits I couldn't see how things went down with Fred and that cop car. Talking to Fred in the pits he said he went for the guy on purpose (as the vid shows) after the cop pushed him off the track. The guy in the cop car was crying because his car got effed hardcore. Don't bring a car to the track unless you're alright with the idea of trailering it home.

A lot of nice vehicles were messed up that night. The SRT8 that got messed up was just depressing. Then in the truck races a nice condition old pickup got pushed sideways down the backstretch by a huge turbo diesel.

 
When that turbo diesel pushed that truck the crowd was roaring that was ****ing awesome. Do you have any vids of the srt8 race?

Spectator Drags is single elimination racing. Two cars line up on the start line, one lap around the track, first one back wins. Winner moves on loser goes home.

The cars must be "street legal". Plates/Registered. Street legal is used loosely.

I might have some videos, I haven't dumped em off the camera yet but I'll start on that now. My sis is nearly done processing the pictures so I'll get them up in a bit.

Edit: We were in the pits, the stands are shorter there so the view isn't as good. Plus my hands shake so the video stuff isn't that great but I'll see if I can throw together a highlights real. My sis's pics are waaaay better anyways.

Haha....I love this stuff. I wanted to go, but we had a cookout. It's so funny when these guys get so pissed they smash into each other.

 
I'm sorry but if during a drag race, the other driver got pissed off at me because I was winning, and rammed me with his vehicle, I would probably kick the living **** out of him!! That's not fun, that's just being a poor sport. It's one thing if you are driving an old beater, but not something that's nice and shiny:u:

 
lol i was there nate,actually heard you pulling in and then noticed it was you, what a great parking spot you had too.. so much fun there, in the second pic you can see my brothers escort he raced, lol its the one that says evo on the front fender

i always thought about bringing my car and just lining up way outside and hopefully being able to get a real good jump and stay in front, but if anything were to happen i would prob have to kill the guy, plus i dont have the money to fix it....

anyway i love going i'll be heading to the next one too, but just to watch lol
