WTF are you thinking putting up the drawbridge right during the morning coimmute making myself and about 5,000 other people late for work.

i've seen it up at 8:30am...

Thankfully I don't have to go across the bridge. But it certainly does plug up traffic on Broadway as people try to go out and around THE bridge using Rt 1 Veterans Bridge.

 
Try having to go across it 4 times a day... our stupid daycare is over there, stuck on several waiting lists for all the decent portland ones. I hate waiting lists >

For once I'm glad my commute is the way it is. 50% back road- 50% blaze up/down the pike as fast as possible.

I dont mind a slow down in traffic, but when it stops I get angry. I dont know why, everyone else is also sitting, but I get freakin P-Od big time.

I was commuting that day via bicyle. I mostly remember the stench of heating oil as I had to detour all the way up the Fore River just to get to work. >

I do remember riding the old brigde on that crazey high side walk that was like 3' wide and 2' above the road. That was exciting. :-
