Bank overdraft fees???

They really seem excessive. The bank can't lose much money from some poor idiot forgetting that he went to Dunkin Donuts one too many times.$30 x 5 =$150 GONE because I was 1 day away from getting my check deposited.Kick me while I'm down, would you!

:-X

My credit union only kicks me in the nads once, $25, then they call a bijillion times til I get it straightened out. Dont ask me how I know.

My credit union only charges $20 for any amount greater than $75 overdrafted... hence, I can overdraft a buncha little ones without fees. It's nice. I just have to watch the big-uns.

I guess I just need to switch my checking account over to my credit union(T&C),which I use for savings and loans anyways.

Any of you guys with Town and Country? I need to check their fee schedules (not that I plan on it,but it will surely happen again).

Nope... I'm in Haverhill MA... Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union... FTW!

Sigh... Massachusetts sucks.

I've had this happen all too many times...

What's worse is when you DON'T spend the money... something like netflix automatically deducts from your account, and you forget, then you're like " >

A 'safe' plan for that, is to keep a 'buffer' in a seperate account, that the checking account is allowed to pull from.

I try to keep my savings at like $100+ so if i overdraw, it just snags some.

I don't let any of the "auto" payment come out of my checking. I have them go thru a credit card first. That's my buffer.
