Easiest way to removed cured epoxy glue?

I had to use some epoxy on my fiberglass lip this past year as an easy fix, but now I must remove it so I can properly fix the crack. I'm not worried about ruining the paint on the lip as it's getting repainted. I heard acetone removes epoxy... anyone know?

learned all about this in my composites class, acetone will do the trick no problem

do you know what kind of resin the lip is made with? polyester, vinylester or epoxy? or if you want you could ship it out to me and i could do areal good job fixing it in the composites shop?

^That would be great since I don't know what I'm doing here haha. How much would that cost?

idk about shipping ill talk to the head honcho of the shop tommorow, how bad is the crack?

if u have dried epoxy that needs removal, this is why sawzalls were invented!

acetone will remove the epoxy, but tst carefully first on a hidden area to see what it does to paint finish. if clearcoat is OK, it's usu not a big prob. however if there are chips or cracks, acetone may lift some color or blur it.

tread carefully.
