If anyone sees an ej22t shortblock do let me know. or long block i guess, but i'd be ditching the heads anyway

yeah i pmd him. he wants 1500 bucks for a long block/harness/ecu. the only worthwhile thing there, at least for me, is the shortblock.

gabe you're pretty much the pricing guru. how much should a running condition ej22t short block cost? 1500 bucks sounds like a lot....even for a longblock with harness and ecu. you'd never use the harness and ecu unless you were using those heads....which most people would ditch

They are a pricey motor!! Because they can be easily built, and are a very strong motor right off the start. A lot of people try to get a lot out of them. They are worth a lot, but I don't think that much, but that's just me. I have seen a whole early 90's Leggy turbos go for less.

yeah exactly. i guess my point is that the wire harness, ecu, heads, intake mani are all worthless for almost all 22t builds

If you want to get any power out of it, and be able to tune it, yes they are. I know a guy that is local to me that has built one up a bit, and it goes good, but it's hard to take it too far on the stock set up

yeah. which is why i'm pretty interested in a good/decent condition shortblock or longblock i can strip down. i can basically strap it into what i have right now with a different turbo and call it a day. then in early summer i want to go with a full build including wrx heads

i guess probably not. i'm getting ansy. by the way, do you have pics of your bumper beam from when you cut it for the 99+ rs bumper? gabe said you completed that task already

yup. if i didn't have money about to be invested in heads and other pieces i'd probably try to talk him down a bit and buy it. but that money to play with is about to get assigned.
