Exciting News!

Baxley’s Speed Shop
Well I got really awesome news this morning in an email from grimmspeed. I dont know if any of you saw that email about testing there new air/oil seporator they will soon be releasing. I applied and out of hundreds of people it looks like less then 15 were choosen and im one of them. I sent them my address and I will let you guys know how it goes. This was really good timing because my car was in serious need of one of these so we will see how well it works. Pretty cool stuff considering they are targeting the crawford unit.

If you would have made it to the southern(northern) meet the other day you would have seen that my car was there and working, kinda

that right there is hilarious!!!

Also, congrats on winning!

Well im sure all of you are familiar with blow by on turbo cars. Where the engine pushes some oil into the breather system and back into the intake/intercooler and eventually burns in the chamber. Reducing fuel economy power etc. Well this piece seporates the air from the oil in the breather system and sends only the air back into the intake and the oil to the oil pan.

They sent me an instruction manual and it looks like they copied the ultra rare and expensive prova air/oil seporator. Which is cool cause it looks factory and is really easy to install. Screws into the stock filler tube.

These can also be called catch cans but these are a little fancier.

actual photo of serious blowby on a locally known turbo car @ NEFR 09 w/sick motor. catch can would fill in a mile or 2, then the smokescreen would start.

motor might have been sick, but we wuz still sideways...and finished the rally too!

Nice Nate! You should still run a separate catch can for the PCV system. I'll be doing the same as soon as I figure out where to cram a catch can in the engine bay.

This showed up at my house today...

I believe grimmspeed added a connection for the pcv system but I wont know until I get it. From the instructions it looks very similiar to the prova but it has 3 ports. that's funny that you just got one, yours is still more ballin.

A $400, $120 catch can.... I mean "air/oil seperator"....

nice Nate, free parts rock!!!

( if you paid $400 for that I'd kick your ass!)

Well I was going to buy the crawford version but since this is free and grimmspeed is great this works out good.

I agree, free parts are the best.... My Cusco front lip was free when it took 35 days for the truck to show up at my house.... But it seems you still have to buy a catch can, dontcha'??

That should make Trevor happy, the "irony" of having to buy a catch can, to go with his ($400, billet, "ballin'") not-quite-a-catch can.

I see $400 as 1/4th of a new turbo, I see $100 as a "catch can"-is that a Bad Thing?

No the grimmspeed setup is designed to improve on the prova system by elimenating the need for any catch can. that's what grimmspeed is good at. One up-ing the best thing out there for less.
