I spent 13.44 cents, got some anchors, a spare roof rail, left over from my last hit and run and misjustice (true story- I got to keep the roof rails from my totalled sube). this is what I came up with. I used some marine adhesive, caulking on the front, clear version, I have that overpriced miracle worker in several spots on the car. The anchors took some thought beyond oe, and it worked nice. All steel anchors. I am going to weld the two seams of the two rails, and go with it. The extended is exactly one roof rail cut in half. (21.8125 inches) the total length now is (21.8125*2)+21.8125.
